Credit counseling has been around for about 40 years or so, and is usually offered by an accredited 501©3 not  for profit organization. 

Enrolling in a Credit Counseling Plan

When you enroll in Credit Counseling Plan with an approved organization you can expect 2 main things:

  1. A Debt Management Plan, a DMP, and
  2. A Personal Budget Inventory.

You will receive a personal, Certified Professional Credit Counselor who will take you though the enrollment process patiently and professionally.

The Debt Management Plan (DMP)

A Debt Management Plan is a credit counseling program and debt management solution whereas most or all outstanding debt is managed to receive certain benefits offered by the creditors.
